House

There it stood, like an arrogant mountain,  tall and proud. My luggage weighed down on me like an elephant on my shoulders as I glared at the house, breathing in its beauties for the last time. This was what I was leaving behind, but it wasn’t only just a house. It was a thousand things more. It was my home. It was my brother. Inside its glorious walls, my precious memories lingered waiting to be let out. I felt a trickle down my cheek. I wiped my tears, and forced a smile. I was moving on in my life and I took pride in it. I waved a last good-bye to this brother of mine, and swiveled around. And I didn’t look back once…
