The Winds

Winds that can swipe my words

Out of my mouth, away from your ears

never to be heard

You must be deaf to me

I do not blame you – the decision was not yours

of what you wanted to be

Is the fault then mine?

Have I failed to have spoken to you before

I fell miles behind

Fight fire with fire,

Not in my nature, my heart won’t allow – something

I used to admire

Yet, I guess

Times change and people too, so that’s what

Got me into this mess

But I’ll hope,

That wind can wipe it all away soon, and

I’ll try not to mope

The wind’ll turn and one day,

I know you’ll realize that there,

You turned the wrong way.
